We created this with the intention of sharing some key ideas about the middle level curriculum.  Within the development of the Middle School Philosophy, philosophers have chosen to focus their attention on the development of curriculum and how it applies to young adolescent development.  As you read about each philosopher's beliefs, think about how you can apply it to the new common core curriculum.

“The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think—rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with the thoughts of other men.” ~John Dewey
